Zinberg Clinic is an outpatient health center providing interdisciplinary
and multi-cultural care and social services

to
people with HIV/AIDS. The two-day clinical action focused on various components
of the Zinberg Clinic's work.

Dr. Coste talked with a new patient. Patients who consented to participate
did so in order to educate others about HIV.

This
volunteer had an HIV test after pre-test counseling. Blood was also drawn
from HIV patients for viral load testing.

||||||||||||||||||
Here,
a nurse provided education about the importance of HIV medication compliance
and assessed barriers to care.
|
In
1997, patients' being treated for HIV were often taking 20 or more pills
a day. A pill box helps keep track of them all.
