How To Make the Mona Lupe

Step 1: Buy 20 posters, some linoleum and inks

 Step 2: Cut a linoleum block and print black ink on top of each poster.

Step 3: Cut another linoleum block and print brown and red inks on top of the (step 2) posters with dried black ink.

 Step 4: Cut a third linoleum block to print black ink on top of each of the dried brown ink on posters. While the black ink is still tacky wet, attach gold leaf stars, then dust the remaining tacky black ink with metallic blue powder on each poster. This print was made in my hotel room in the Hotel Monte Carlo, Mexico City, 1983.
